The Metolius Recon Crash Pad offers a smart solution for boulderers needing extensive landing coverage without the usual bulk. Its narrow-profile tri-fold design makes for a cleaner, less cumbersome carry to and from the crag, folding nearly 10 cm narrower than many standard pads. Despite its transport-friendly dimensions, it unfolds to a generous 1.62 square meters (5.5 sq. ft. more than typical pads), providing a substantial landing zone for those trickier problems.

Built for maximum impact absorption and durability, the Recon utilizes a sandwich foam construction. Thoughtful details like an integrated shoe cleaning mat and a versatile closure flap enhance its functionality for serious climbers.
